• Email address — used for authentication and weekly analysis delivery.
• Portfolio data — stock symbols, share counts, and cost basis that you voluntarily enter or import via brokerage connection.
• Account type and tax bracket — Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, or Taxable, and your selected tax bracket for after-tax projections.
• Transaction history — trades you log through the application, including premiums, strikes, and expirations.
• Strategy preferences — your selected risk tolerance level (Conservative, Moderate, or Aggressive).
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized covered call trade analysis for your portfolio.
• Deliver weekly analysis emails.
• Display portfolio and income tracking to the authenticated user.
• Authenticate your account via magic link emails.
• Aggregate and anonymized research: We use anonymized, aggregate transaction and holdings data to improve our analysis engine, validate our rules, and improve the product. No individual user's data is ever identified in this research.
• Product improvement and feature development.

3. What We Do NOT Do

Income Factory is committed to your privacy. We do not:

• Sell, rent, or share your personally identifiable information with third parties (except service providers necessary to operate the application, e.g., email delivery).
• Serve advertisements or use your data for ad targeting.
• Store brokerage login credentials (OAuth 2.0 — you authenticate directly with your broker).
• Use your portfolio data for any purpose other than generating your trade analysis and anonymized aggregate research.

4. Brokerage Connection (When Available)

Income Factory may offer the ability to connect your brokerage account to automatically import portfolio holdings. This connection uses OAuth 2.0 — the application never sees or stores your brokerage password.

• Scope: Read account positions and place user-confirmed orders.
• Control: You can disconnect your brokerage at any time.
• No autonomous trading: No trades are placed without your explicit confirmation.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers (DigitalOcean, US-based). All connections are encrypted in transit via TLS/SSL. Authentication uses magic link email — no passwords are stored. API keys are stored as server environment variables, never exposed to the client.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Email Communications

We may send you the following types of emails:

• Authentication emails — magic link login emails (required, cannot be opted out).
• Weekly reminders — Friday notification when analysis results are ready (can be toggled in Settings).
• Service updates — important changes to the platform or these policies.

7. Cookies

Income Factory uses essential session cookies for authentication only. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies that track you across other websites.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Income Factory:

• SendGrid — email delivery (magic links and weekly analysis results).
• Market data providers — quotes and option chain data. Your personal data is not shared with these providers; only symbol lookups are made on your behalf.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Analysis and transaction history are retained to provide you with historical performance tracking.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data. Upon deletion, all personal data (holdings, transactions, preferences) is permanently removed. Aggregated, anonymized data that has already been incorporated into research may be retained as it contains no personally identifiable information.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your portfolio and analysis data.
• Opt out of non-essential email communications.

11. Children's Privacy

Income Factory is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of Income Factory after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
